Our main goal for this call will be to go over the first draft of the revised IITAA Standards, which is posted at https://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=96985.
Also, another thanks to everyone who posted on the Comments Board since our last call. If you haven't checked them out yet, please do at https://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=95465.
Here's a quick recap of our next steps from our last call:
- If you haven't already, post your comments at https://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=95465; even just confirming that you think we're on the right track helps.
- Check back to see others' comments over the next few days & weeks.
- Based on your comments, we will prepare a draft of the updated standards and techniques, and email when it's ready to start reviewing.
- On June 22, 9:00, we will have a call to go over the draft and identify changes and additions.
- On July 13, 9:00, we will have a call to finalize the updated standards.
- On July 18, we will post the updated standards, with an effective date of January 18, 2018.
- After July 18, we'll continue discussions on how to improve compliance through outreach, training, monitoring & enforcement (and any other ways you can think of!)
Thanks again for all your help, and don't forget to read and post your comments!
