Volume X, Issue XV - April 2017

Fiscal Year 2018 Funding Applications and Programmatic Risk Assessments are now posted on the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) website at: https://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=92639.

The purpose of this Smart Alert is to specify each step that must be completed by all current or potential grantees before IDHS staff can accept any application for funding. The steps and links for technical assistance are as follows:

  1. Authenticate your organization by establishing an account.  Help is available on the website if you have already registered, but forgot your username, password, or your password has expired.
  2. Ensure that you have a current Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number.
  3. Ensure that you have a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN).
  4. Ensure that you have a current System for Award Management (SAM) cage code.
  5. Register and be in good standing with the Illinois Secretary of State (does not apply to government entities and schools).
  6. Register with the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA) system.
  7. Pre-qualify by completing the Internal Controls Questionnaire (ICQ) for FY 2018.

You will also need to complete a budget for your funding request, enter it into the Community Services Agreement (CSA) Tracking System and print a hard copy as part of the funding application. Additionally, a Programmatic Risk Assessment must be completed for each application.
