Action Memo
Summary
- During the intake application interview, the Family Assessment (FA) and the Responsibility and Services Plan (RSP) must be completed. This includes applicants who care for a child under 1 and employed clients who are found eligible for TANF.
- Managers should ensure that the FA and RSP are completed, and have been uploaded into the Electronic Case Record in IES.
- Once the TANF application is approved, Work & Training Staff should immediately enter the RSP information in the Worker Verification System (WVS).
- The RSP entered into legacy WVS will be preserved as an adobe document, and will be converted and available for use in the new IES WVS post Phase II Go Live.
Completing a Family Assessment and Responsibility and Services Plan during the intake interview
For a TANF application, a full Family Assessment (FA) (IL444-4001 series) and Responsibility and Services Plan (RSP) (IL444-4003 series) must be done during the initial interview. This includes applicants who care for a child under 1 and employed clients who are found eligible for TANF.
Manager's responsibility to ensure the FA and RSP are Uploaded into the ECR
Until Phase 2 IES is implemented, managers should ensure that a full Family Assessment and RSP are completed at intake using the paper versions and uploaded into the ECR so the record is preserved.
Entering the RSP into legacy WVS
Upon approval, the W&T worker should complete a new RSP in the legacy WVS to generate appropriate Attendance and Activity forms for participation.
Converting WVS information from legacy to the new IES WVS at Go Live.
Completing the RSP in the legacy WVS is necessary for conversion purposes. This RSP entered into legacy WVS will be preserved as an adobe document, and will be converted and available for use in the new IES WVS post Phase II Go Live.
