Orientation and Mobility Program

Illinois School for the Visually Impaired (ISVI) Orientation and Mobility Program

The Illinois School for the Visually Impaired provides an orientation and mobility (O&M) program to families and children with visual impairments. The O & M specialist develops and coordinates individualized orientation and mobility programs for students following assessment. Consultations to students, parents, and local education agencies (LEA's) are available at any time.  The goal of the ISVI O&M program is to give students as much independence as possible.
