Illinois School for the Visually Impaired (ISVI) Hearing and Speech Program


The Illinois School for the Visually Impaired provides a hearing and speech program to families and children with visual impairments.  The speech and language specialist develops and coordinates individualized speech therapy programs for students following assessment.  Consultations to students, parents, and local education agencies (LEA's) are available at any time.


About ISVI's speech language pathologist (SLP)

Mrs. Madeline Langdon has been with ISVI since the 2012 school year.  She obtained her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.  Mrs. Langdon is certified through the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), as well as through the state of Illinois.  Additionally, Mrs. Langdon is a certified Early Intervention Speech Language Pathologist, and holds an Illinois Professional Education License (PEL).
