Summary

  • This manual release provides information on the restructuring of the SNAP Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) Program beginning 05/16/16 in Chicago and Cook county.
  • The Chicago SNAP E&T office (223) is no longer a specialty office.
  • Staff at the SNAP E&T office will be relocated to other FCRCs in Cook county.
  • SNAP E&T functions, except sanctions, will be handled by the Cook county FCRCs serving the case.
  • SNAP E&T sanctions will continue to be handled by the Mid-South FCRC.
  • SNAP E&T appeals have been scheduled at the SNAP E&T office through July 6, 2016.  Any new SNAP E&T appeals scheduled July 7 ,2016 or later are scheduled at the FCRC where the case is served.

This manual releases provides information on the restructuring of the SNAP Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) Program beginning 05/16/16 in Chicago and Cook county. The Chicago SNAP E&T office (223) is no longer a specialty office for SNAP E&T. Staff working at this office will be relocated to other FCRCs in Cook county.

Until further notice SNAP E&T sanctions occurring in Cook county will continue to be processed by the Mid-South FCRC. All other SNAP E&T functions will be handled by the FCRC where the case is served.

SNAP E&T appeals have been scheduled at the SNAP E&T office through July 6, 2016.  Any new SNAP E&T appeals scheduled July 7, 2016 or later are scheduled at the FCRC where the case is served.

This release has no impact on FCRCs operating a SNAP Employment and Training Program downstate.
