10.0 INTRODUCTION
The report function of the Cornerstone system includes many specific reports under the following categories:
- WIC
- Participant
- Immunization
- Administrative
- Scheduling
- Mailing
- Management
- Follow-up Reporting
- BCCP/IWP
- Early Intervention
- Genetics
The report component of the Cornerstone system consists of four screens. Most reports use the On-Request Report Selection (RP01) screen to request reports to print to the screen, print to the printer, or to save to a file. All the Scheduling reports use the Reports Selection (Scheduling) (RP05) screen. All the Mailing reports use the Reports Selection (Mailing) (RP02) screen. All the follow-up reports use the Follow-up Reporting (AD13) screen.
10.1 On-Request Report Selection (RP01)
Overview
- Used to print all of the on-request reports, except the Scheduling and Mailing reports, which are printed on the Reports Selection (Scheduling) (RP05) screen and the Report Selection (Mailing) (RP02) screen, respectively.
Step by Step Instructions
Once the user has selected the appropriate report option from the Cornerstone Main Menu, the user may follow the steps below.
- Press Ctrl+F1 to activate the Report Selection window. Use the up and down arrow keys and/or Pg Up and Pg Dn to highlight the appropriate report. Press Enter to select.
- On the On-Request Report Selection (RP01) screen, use Tab or Enter to move around the enterable fields. Verify any information carried forward onto the screen and complete all enterable fields, as necessary.
NOTE: The enterable fields vary, depending on what report the user is requesting. (Please refer to the enterable fields for each report as indicated throughout Chapter 11 "Reports.")
- Press Tab to go to the Print Options line. This line provides the user with a choice of whether to print the report to the screen, to the printer, and/or to a file.
- The user can move to the appropriate option(s) by using Tab or the left and right arrow keys. To select a destination or destinations for the report, with the appropriate option(s) highlighted, the user must press the space bar to mark the option(s) with an "X." The user may mark one, two, or all of the following options: "To the Screen," "To the Printer," or "To a File."
- If an incorrect print option is selected, with the incorrect print option highlighted, press the space bar again to deselect the print option.
- Press F9 to run the report.
- A pop-up window with the message "Print the report now?" will be displayed. Type "Y" to run the report now or "N" to cancel the report.
- What happens next will vary based on the report that is to be run and the above print option(s) selected. Some reports will display pop-up windows with further choices (such as sorting options) that need to be made by the user.
NOTE: If the print option "To a File" was selected, the user can specify the drive location to which the report should be saved.
- The message "Running report... Please be patient" will be displayed, followed by the message "Report generation complete." If the report was sent to the screen, the report will be displayed; otherwise, the report was sent to the appropriate printer or the file named.
- If the report was printed to the screen, press Esc to return to the On-Request Report Selection screen (RP01).
- If the report was printed to the screen, the report can then be printed to the printer without running the report again by pressing Ctrl+Enter.

10.2 Reports Selection (Mailing) - (RP02)
Overview
- Used to print the on-request Mailing reports.
- Allows the user to specify additional fields for selecting the data for the reports available.
- To validate the selection criteria entered, the fields on this screen are divided into several groups:
- Participant - contains the "Grp/Part. ID" and "Provider ID" fields.
- Birth - contains the "APORS" field.
- Program - contains the "Pgm. Code," "Pgm. Category," "Loc. Code," and the WIC "Possible Prelims" and "Priority" fields.
- Risk Factors - contains the "Risk Factors" field.
- Address - contains the "County Code" and "Zip Codes" fields.
NOTE: When the address fields are specified the Cornerstone system checks for matches in the participant's residence address only.
- User may specify fields from the participant and birth groups within the same report. The user may also specify fields from the program and risk factors groups within the same report. The user CAN NOT combine fields from the birth and program groups OR the program and address groups within the same report. Within the groups, any combination of the fields will be allowed.
Step by Step Instructions

10.4 Follow-Up Reporting (AD13)
Overview
- Used to request the follow-up reports that can be produced in the Cornerstone system.
- User can choose to produce the report to include all the follow-up categories or select specific categories to be included. The user also has the option to request information by case manager, by entering a case manager's ID number.
Step by Step Instructions
Once the user has selected the appropriate report option from the Cornerstone Main Menu, the user may follow the steps below.
- The cursor will be in the "Enter a Program Code, if desired" field. If appropriate for the reports to be run, type in the correct code or use F1 Help to complete this field. (Please refer to Chapter 2 "System Environment" under "2.4.2 Keyboard Functions" for more information about F1 Help.)
- Press Enter to go to the "Enter a Case Manager ID, if desired" field and type in the ID or use F1 Help to complete this field.
- Press Enter to go to the "All Categories" field.
- If desired, type an "X" to select all the follow-up reports for printing. The cursor will move to the "From" field for the Upcoming Terminations report (HSPR0743). Enter the start date for reporting on upcoming terminations. Press Enter to go to the "To" field. Enter the end date for reporting on upcoming terminations. Go to step 5.
- If left blank, all categories will not be printed. Continue with step 4.
- Press Enter to go to the remaining report fields. Type an "X" next to the reports that the user wants to print. If left blank, the report will not be printed.
- If the Missed Scheduled Appointments report (HSPR0737) is selected, the "From" and "To" date fields become active. After the user has selected all reports to be run, press Enter to go to the "From" field. If desired, enter the start date for reporting on missed scheduled appointments. Press Enter to go to the "To" field. Enter the end date for reporting on missed scheduled appointments.
NOTE: The "From" and "To" date fields are optional for the Missed Scheduled Appointments report. If the "From" and "To" fields are not entered for the Missed Scheduled Appointments report (HSPR0737), the report will select all appointments that have been missed as of the current date.
- If the Past EDC Dates report (HSPR0740) is selected, the cursor will move to the right of the report name. The user has the option to enter a specific location code, if defined. Type in the correct code or use F1 Help to complete this field.
- If the Upcoming Terminations report (HSPR0743) is selected, the cursor will move to the "From" field. Enter the start date for reporting on upcoming terminations. Press Enter to go to the "To" field. Enter the end date for reporting on upcoming terminations.
NOTE: The "From" and "To" date fields are required for the Upcoming Terminations report (HSP0743).
- Press Tab to go to the Print Options line. This line provides the user with a choice of whether to print the report to the screen, to the printer, and/or to a file.
- The user can move to the appropriate option(s) by using Tab or the left and right arrow keys.
