Summary

Revises procedures for authorizing Temporary Medical card benefits when an application for nursing home or Supportive Living Program coverage is not completed within the required timeframes. Do not authorize payment for LTC charges with the Temporary Medical benefits.

This release revises the procedures for completing a Temporary Medical card when an application for nursing home or Supportive Living Program is not completed within the required timeframes. Approve the Temporary Medical benefits using the same procedure as community medical cases. Do not process an admission into the LTC subsystem until the case has been approved. Do not authorize payment for LTC charges with the Temporary Medical benefits.
