Effective 9/17/12, to improve customer service and allow access to SNAP benefits timely, Family Community Resource (FCRC) staff will be able to authorize Past Month benefits via IPACS with TA 56 TAR 20.
FCRC staff authorize Past Month benefits when an underpayment has occurred, the fiscal month(s) benefits in which additional benefits are due has ended, and there is no outstanding SNAP claim balance.
Form 1992, Request for Authorization of Past Month's Food Stamp Benefits has been renamed "Request to Apply Past Month SNAP Benefits to Unpaid Claim Balance".
Continue to fax Form 1992, Request to Apply Past Month SNAP Benefits to Unpaid Claim Balance to the Bureau of SNAP Integrity (BSNAPI) if there is an existing balance on a SNAP claim, as verified by Accounts Receivable (ARS).
