PM I-02-01-a: Crisis Assistance

Crisis assistance is available to persons who are financially and non-financially eligible for TANF. For new applications and SWAP requests, the 30-day wait for cash assistance does not apply.

A Crisis Assistance payment may be made for:

• rent,
• food,
• clothing,
• household supplies,
• essential household furnishings,
• non-medical needs related to essential medical care (food, lodging, transportation).
