Software & Installation Instructions

ROCS VERSION 5.07 and Older Versions will no longer be supported.

ROCS VERSION 6.14

  • If you are upgrading from 5.07 or older version to 6.14, PLEASE CONTACT THE ROCS HELP DESK FOR ASSISTANCE IN UPGRADING YOUR SOFTWARE.
  • If you are moving your ROCS 6.0 series version from one server to another and/or one computer to another

  PLEASE CONTACT THE ROCS HELP DESK FOR ASSISTANCE TO ENSURE THE LICENSE KEY IS PROPERLY TRANSFERRED.

  • ROCS Version 6.14 is available for 64-bit operating systems like Windows 10 Professional only.
  • HOME PREMIUM versions of Windows operating systems are NOT supported.
  • Windows 11 is not supported at this time.  ROCS has not been tested on Windows 11.
  • Version 6.0 series requires a license key specifically assigned to our agency - DO NOT download if you do not have a license key already assigned.  You must 1st contact our office for assistance with the installation of the 6.14 version of ROCS.  We would prefer to work with you to complete this installation.  Please email DoIT.ROCS@illinois.gov and schedule a time for this.
  • NOTE:  The new version of the ROCS application (6.06 thru 6.14) may not be acceptable to your antivirus application.  If the executable is deleted from your computer by your antivirus application, you will need to create an exception to the PRSW folder and the file gsd01000.exe within the settings of your antivirus application.
  • To do this follow these steps:
    • 1 - disable the antivirus application (Real Time Protection)
    • 2 - reinstall the software to restore the gsd01000.exe
    • 3 - create the exception within the antivirus application settings for the gsd01000.exe file in the PRS\PRSW folder and the PRS\PRSW

      folder itself.  Both exceptions should work together to keep the gsd01000.exe from being deleted.

    • 4 - open the ROCS software using the gsd01000.exe or your shortcut on the desktop, to make sure the software is working
    • 5 - enable the antivirus application and check the software again to make sure it is working.

NEW PROVIDERS: DO NOT attempt to install the software before contacting the ROCS Help Desk.  You MUST request agency specific and client files by sending an email request to DoIT.ROCS@illinois.gov


 Computer Requirements

  • ROCS Version 6.14 is compatible with 64-bit Windows 10 Professional operating system ONLY
  • HOME PREMIUM VERSIONS ARE NOT SUPPORTED!!!
  • NOTE:  The 6.0 series requires a license key and you MUST contact our office to obtain the license key.  We will need to assist in the installation of the software which will take about an hour. 
  • If you are currently using a virtual computer to run the ROCS software, we recommend that you upgrade to the new version 6.14 and discontinue the use of the virtual computer.
  • Windows 11 is not supported at this time.  ROCS has not been tested with Windows 11.
  • MAC computers are NOT supported.
