Mike: It's a dream come true…I interviewed three or four different places and when I walked into the Clinton Junior High it just felt like home.
Announcer: Mike McCarty, veteran and former construction worker, lost the use of his legs due to a tumor in his spine. He needed a different job, one he could do from a wheelchair. Through the Illinois Division of Rehabilitation Services, Mike accessed resources to put himself through school, and into a job in the classroom.
Mike: They're very accommodating. They go above and beyond…. It's been great. If there's a will, there's a way, they'll help you find it. Grants, different stuff, small loans for business startups. Just different ways you can make a living and feel important in society. My life wouldn't be the same without it.
Announcer: Could Mike's success be your success, too? Call 877-761-9780. That's 877-761-9780.
Mike: I feel lucky…. I couldn't have done it without them.
