To become a potential mentee and be mentored in the Mentoring Children of Prisoners program, a youth must:
- Be 4 to 17 years old;
- Currently reside in the Humboldt Park or Roseland community areas of Chicago; and
- Have at least one parent in state or federal prison at the time of application.
