Client Assistance Program (CAP) - CAP helps people with disabilities receive quality services by advocating for their interests and helping them identify resources, understand procedures, resolve problems, and protect their rights in the rehabilitation process, employment, and home services.
DHS Help Line - The Bureau of Customer Support and Services (BCSS) provides critical case intervention when client benefits or services are interrupted. This line serves as an advocate to all DHS customers and providers and an information resource for the community.
Report Fraud - To report fraud regarding Cash, SNAP, or Medical Assistance on the part of clients or retailers.
Appeal Process - If an applicant or client of DHS disagrees with a decision made by the Department, the individual has a right to a fair appeal hearing through the Office of the General Counsel's Bureau of Hearings.
Allegations of Abuse and Neglect - DHS' Office of the Inspector General receives reports of abuse, neglect, and mistreatment in DHS facilities that provide mental health or developmental disability services. This 24-hour hotline also investigates reports of abuse and neglect in community and domestic settings.
