MR #08.20: Increase in Food Stamp Standards and Benefit Amounts

Summary:

Effective October 1, 2008, Federal law provides for an increase in the following standards to determine eligibility and benefit amounts:

• Maximum Monthly FS Benefits.
• Maximum Gross and Net Income Standards.
• Standard Deduction amount.
• Maximum Excess Shelter Deduction is increased to $446.
• Minimum benefit amount for a one and two person FS unit increases from $10 to $14.
• Updates the Basis of Issuance Tables.
