MR #08.15: Expansion of EI REDE - Now Called EZ REDE

Summary

Starting 07/15/08, the approval period for most Category 08 cases is 6 months.
Starting 07/15/08, EI REDE is expanded to include most Category 08 cases without earnings and is now called EZ REDE.
FS units in EZ REDE status are only required to report when their income exceeds their Gross Monthly Income Standard. The conversion notice sent to the unit tells them their Gross Monthly Income amount.
The approval period for converted Category 08 cases with 8 or more months left in their approval periods are shortened by 6 months and the next REDE due will be a mail-in.
The approval period for converted Category 08 cases with 7 months left in their approval periods are shortened by 1 month and the next REDE due will be a mail-in.
The approval period for converted Category 08 cases with 6 months or less left in their approval periods stays the same and the next REDE due will alternate between a face-to-face and mail-in based on the last digit of the Case ID. For cases with an odd number the REDE will be a face-to-face, and an even number a mail-in.
Most of the newly converted Category 08 cases are eligible to use the Phone System Interview option to complete their REDE.
For PSI, accept the amount of earned income reported as a change during the PSI interview. No other action is needed, do not request paystubs.
Starting 07/15/08, Item 90 Income Code 804 is obsolete. Most cases with Code 804 will have the code converted to Item 90 code 802 with or without a Source code depending on case type.
For Class I and II counties, migrant cases can now be approved in Group 01 without entering a special code.
An incorrectly assigned approval period can be corrected using TA 31/TAR 61, and notifying the unit with a locally issued Notice of Change (Form 157).
Removes references to previously obsoleted Quarterly Reporting from WAG 15-05-02.
