MR #08.05: Food Stamp Sanction Changes

SUMMARY

• Effective 02/19/08, all FS work sanctions are for 3 months instead of 2 months, 4 months and 6 months.
• This release also implements policy that affects FS customers who receive TANF cash. It requires them to comply with the TANF work and training program as part of their FS eligibility.
• A person who fails to comply and is sanctioned for a TANF work and training requirement is also sanctioned for FS as if they had failed to  comply with a FS work rule, unless they are responsible for the care of a child under age 6.
• FS sanction codes are centrally entered and deleted on TANF/FS cases.
• Form 157F is revised.
