What is the purpose of this service?
Domestic violence prevention and intervention programs are located throughout Illinois to provide safety assistance, shelter, and services to victims of domestic violence.
Who can receive these services?
Services are free and private.
Services are available regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, income, disability, or sexual orientation.
You do not have to leave the abuser or your home to get help.
The Helpline Operator or the local agency will decide what services from the program will assist you at either the first meeting or via the telephone call.
