Within 90 calendar days from the date of the hearing notice, the Assistance Hearings Section must:

  • hold the hearing;
  • make a decision; and
  • let the customer, the Family Community Resource Center, andrevised manual text the IDHS SNAP Fraud Unit (SFU) know the decision. The notice tells the customer and any other SNAP household members the reason for the decision.

NOTE: Any delay of a hearing extends the 90-day timeframe by the number of days the hearing was delayed.
