(FCRC) Do a KIDS clearance for each nonmarital child who does not have paternity established.
At intake the clearances are centrally done.
At Service Coordination do a clearance for a child who has code 20 in Item 63 in the father status. To do a clearance, bring up ACM. Enter J. If the clearance shows there is no information for the noncustodial parent, schedule the client for a face-to-face interview to complete the paternity interview. Do not delay adding the child or swapping benefits to complete the paternity interview.
If the KIDS clearance shows information on the noncustodial parent, do not do a paternity interview for that child.
