The rate includes fees for cremation. Historical Data on funeral and burial rates are located in WAG 25-06-10.
Disposal of Limbs
The amount the Department pays for the burial is all inclusive. Do not approve an extra payment for burial of a severed limb with the rest of the body. Before a client's death, the Family Community Resource Center may approve a $15 payment to a funeral director for burial of limbs. Only a funeral director can file a claim for payment to dispose of limbs.
Donations for Research
When a client donates their body for research, the maximum amounts the Department pays for funeral services is:

This amount includes customary transportation charges. Other transportation charges will be considered. Another $50 may be approved for a memorial service held only at the funeral home.
