Upon request, the customer can choose to have all cash benefits, except child care and replacement checks, deposited directly into a checking or savings account in a bank, savings and loan or credit union. Direct deposited cash benefits will be available on the 8th of each month. When a check is directly deposited, a central notice is sent to inform the customer of the amount and date of the deposit.
For customers who have opted to have Cash benefits Direct Deposited:
- child care checks are mailed to the provider's address;
- replacement checks may be mailed to any address requested by the customer;
- HFS Medical cards are included with the IL444-360C - Notice of Decision and mailed to the customer's home address and uploaded into Manage My Case (MMC);
- SNAP benefits are deposited to the customer's Illinois Link account.
Direct Deposit is available to all customers, including those who are the included on a case as the Payee only, who complete the enrollment procedures. No action is required by the FCRC or the customer if the customer is not interested in enrolling in Direct Deposit. Direct Deposit is voluntary, except for cases with a Protective Payee. Cases that include a Protective Payee are required to be enrolled in Direct Deposit.
