revised manual textFamily Community Resource Center staff must explain and provide SNAP customers with information about the voluntary SNAP E & T Program at Intake, REDE, or whenever contact is made with the customer. Give the customer the SNAP Employment Training Program brochure. 

Explain the:

  • Assessment process and Employability Plan;
  • SNAP E & T Program and activities, including Earnfare;
  • Support services;
  • Work Provision requirements and penalties to persons nonexempt from the Work Provisions in PM 03-15-00.

This will serve as the Orientation.

To participate, the customer will need to provide information on background, education level, work history, and factors affecting employability (e.g., health or family problems) and appear for scheduled meetings.
