SNAP Employment and Training Program

The Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) administers a voluntary SNAP Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) Program to help SNAP customers who do not receive TANF Cash acquire work skills and find employment that leads to self-sufficiency. The program also helps with work-related expenses up to 365 calendar days from the initial employment start date when the job is obtained while participating in SNAP E&T.
