FEDERAL SNAP ANNOUNCEMENT
Updated 11/13/2025:
IDHS is working to distribute full SNAP benefits, now that the federal government shutdown has ended.
We anticipate that the remaining benefit payments will be made over the coming days, with all SNAP recipients receiving their full November benefits by Nov. 20.

- Governor Pritzker signed an executive order to administer funding through Feeding Illinois.
- Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities (ICDD) has created an opportunity for "doers, donors, and volunteers" to remain on standby and alert for notification of community need through the program "Step up to Serve."
- Access Living and ICDD partner to deliver "Knowledge is Power" (KIP) virtual session November 19, 2025 at 2:30 pm Central Time.
