Scattered Site - Permanent Supportive Housing (SS-PSH)

What is the purpose of this program?

The Scattered Site Permanent Supportive Housing Program (SS-PSH) is permanent housing in which housing assistance (e.g., long-term leasing or rental assistance) and supportive services are provided to assist households with at least one member with a disability in achieving housing stability.

Program Participant Eligibility Requirements

  • Program participants must be currently homeless
  • Assisted households must have a household member with a diagnosable substance use disorder, serious mental illness, developmental disability, PTSD, cognitive impairments resulting from a brain injury, or a chronic physical illness or disability, including the co-occurrence of two or more of those conditions
  • Program participants must be selected through the local Continuum of Care's (CoC's) established Coordinated Entry processes as is required by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
  • Under 8 USC 1621 (d), states are required to have specific statutory authority to provide public benefits, including housing, to certain non-citizens. This program is only able to serve non-citizens who meet the definition of "qualified alien" under 8 USC 1641.
