Changes to the Illinois WIC Vendor Management Code (Ill. Adm. Code 672 et al.) were adopted on January 30, 2024. The new rules can be found online at https://www.ilga.gov/agencies/JCAR/Sections?PartID=07700672&TitleDescription=TITLE%2077:%20%20PUBLIC%20HEALTH.
A red-lined copy of the sections with changes has been sent by email with this notice for your reference. Sections involved in this revision are:
- 672.100 - Definitions
- 672.200 - Geographic Distribution and Participant Access Criteria
- 672.205 - Application Procedures
- 672.210 - Authorization Criteria
- 672.220 - Criteria for Denial of Authorization
- 672.400 - Authorization
- 672.510 - State Agency Vendor Sanctions
It is important to note that the Illinois WIC Vendor Management Code is Appendix A of the Vendor Contract, and changes are fully enforceable as part of the contract guidelines.
Should any of these amendments be determined to be unacceptable by the Vendor, the Vendor may voluntarily withdraw from participation pursuant to Section VI of the Vendor Contract.
