Grantee shall create a project designed to strengthen the mental health workforce in Illinois by expanding training opportunities, enhancing staff retention, and supporting direct service delivery through a robust internship, onboarding, and training program. This program will provide evidence-based training which allows clinicians to provide the highest quality care to residents who utilize Medicaid for their health insurance.

Community Mental Health Centers are underfunded and do not have the resources to provide evidence-based training which allows clinicians to provide the highest quality care to residents who utilize Medicaid for their health insurance. The pay for clinicians in community mental health is often lower, and the population served has higher needs. Because of this, incentives like evidence-based training in high-demand treatment modalities can make an immediate impact on clinician retention and quality of care provided to the community.
The Grantee shall strengthen the mental health services provided through evidence-based training and high-quality supervision.
