TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

  • IL Crisis Prevention Network - "If We Can Talk About This, We Can Talk About Anything" is a free virtual webinar that will be presented August 28, 2025 starting at 11:00 am Central Time. The webinar will address sexual rights, responsibilities, and risk for people with intellectual disability. This workshop will provide 2.0 hours of Continuing Education for specified titles.   • DDD - "Person Centered Plan (PCP)" will be hosted virtually September 2nd, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm Central Time. This training is hosted quarterly for Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals (QIDP), Independent Service Coordination (ISC) Agencies, and Leadership.   • Every Step of the Way (ESW) Resource Center - The Catch-22 Resource Fair, the 1st annual resource fair for disabled individuals age 18 and older.   • Child and Family Connections #9, 21st Century Dads Foundation, and Special Fathers Network - Father Engagement in Families of Children with Special Needs is a free virtual presentation for Fathers, Stepfathers, Grandfathers, Father-Figures, Parents, Caregivers, and Professionals.   • Social Security Administration (SSA) - Working for Yourself with Ticket to Work webinar will begin at 2:00 pm Central Time on August 27, 2025. This program is for Social Security Beneficiaries that want to work while receiving SSA benefits and is one session in a series of virtual presentations (part of Work Incentive Seminar Event (WISE) webinars).   • The Arc of IL - Family Support Group happening August 26, 2025 from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm Central Time. The Arc continues Family Support Group series, creating a welcoming space for parents, caregivers, and family members to connect, share, and support one another.   • Epilepsy Foundation (Southern IL) - Caregiver Support Group (open forum). The event is free of charge and open to individuals with epilepsy and their families living in Southern Illinois (the lower 34 counties). This in person event will take place September 2, 2025 at the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern IL Event Hall (address: 750 West H Street in Belleville, IL 62226), starting at 10:00 am Central Time.
