Bi-Monthly Update on OIG Operations
- Dept. of Justice inquiry into Mabley, Choate, and Shapiro- investigation expected to take 18-24 months to complete (process of findings). Document request received March 6, 2025.
- Board vacancies per auditor- to fill vacancies and work on expired term board members. Currently, one board member with an expired term.
Administrative Matters
- Welcome the new Deputy Inspector General - Thor Martin.
- Budget is currently in limbo due to transition at federal government level; budget address is Feb.19th, 2025.
- 120employees at OIG currently, 101 approved for 2025.
- Goal is to secure 115 employees by next year (2026) approved by Secretary Dulce Quintero and HR.
- Creating efficiencies, possibly employ more contracted employees.
