Inclusion Without Exception: United in Pride 2025
As Pride Month 2025 comes to a close, the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) proudly reflects on the strength, resilience, and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Pride Month is a time to celebrate progress and honor lived experiences. Throughout June, we deepened our focus on equity and belonging as part of our ongoing work to build more inclusive systems and supports.
This year's theme, "United in Pride," reminds us that inclusion, dignity, and respect must be at the heart of all we do. We will continue to uphold our commitment to fostering safe, inclusive spaces for all individuals with developmental disabilities, including those who identify as LGBTQIA+.
At DDD, we believe that every person deserves to live a life of choice, belonging, and pride-free from discrimination. Together, we remain united in our pursuit of a more inclusive and just Illinois.
