Illinois Mental Health Planning and Advising Council - Justice Subcommittee Meeting Minutes

Wednesday, March 12, 2025 - 2:00-2:52 PM

Call to Order: 2:02 PM

Attendance: Scott Block, Shirley Davis, Matthew Fishback, Jessica Gimeno, Ron Melka

Absent: Mike Davis, Sue Schroeder

Review and approval of 2.5.25 minutes - Motion of Approval by Shirley - Second by Matthew - All in Favor

Criminal Justice Block Grant Priorities - Committee Members reviewed and approved the priorities as presented. Scott will connect with the IMHPAC Chair to discuss the next steps in presenting the priority recommendations to the full committee and DHS for inclusion in the next Block Grant Plan.

• Other - Members discussed the importance of outreach and awareness. Scott said he would recommend a full committee discussion on this topic.
• Members discussed CESSA and Jessica will provide a more comprehensive update about the tiered implementation at the next subcommittee meeting. The implementation date was moved to July of 2026.
