IMPACT PROVIDER REVALIDATION REMINDER - Updated Information

In accordance with Federal Regulation 42 CFR 455.414, all Medicaid providers are required to periodically revalidate their enrollment information. DDD IMPACT Provider revalidations are on-going and expected to continue for the majority of providers through December 2025. Providers requiring revalidation will receive automated e-mail notifications to the e-mail on file in IMPACT prior to the assigned due date. It is the provider's responsibility to maintain up-to date contact information within the IMPACT system in order to receive these e-mails. DDD Providers are encouraged to check their revalidation window and take pro-active measures to ensure that revalidations are submitted prior to the assigned due date. Providers may continue to e-mail DHS.DDDMedProv@illinois.gov following the completion of the revalidation process for expedited modification approval.

Failing to revalidate by the assigned date will result in termination from the IMPACT system causing suspension of payments for the provider. Retroactive Medicaid payments are not being authorized by Healthcare Family Services (HFS) for provider's who fail to revalidate.

Revalidation Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and instructions can be found here: Provider Revalidation

HFS is holding monthly town halls on this topic: Revalidation Town Halls (2025)

ELECTRONIC VISIT VERIFICATION (EVV) - HOME-BASED SERVICE PROVIDERS

EVV is required when rendering personal care services in waiver funded, home-based settings unless a live-in care giver exemption has been approved. If your agency is currently supporting Personal Support Workers (PSW) with live-in exemptions, please e-mail DHS.DDDEVV@Illinois.gov for further direction on getting connected to approved DDD billing codes 55E and 55F. Attempting to bill for these codes prior to communicating with Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), will result in billing rejections.

DDD offers a State EVV Solution through HHAeXchange at no cost to providers who are required to utilize EVV. The State EVV Solution includes the Mobile Visit Verification (MVV) Application, Telephonic Visit Verification (TVV) System, and the Provider Agency's EVV Portal. There is no requirement for any additional EVV program options such as billing or billing support, as it is not currently compatible with the State of Illinois billing programs. If you have any questions, concerns or comments please email the DDD EVV email box at DHS.DDDEVV@Illinois.gov.

The most up to date EVV requirements including the DDD EVV Manual (updated March 17, 2025) are available on our website Illinois' Electronic Visit Verification (EVV).
