New Administrative Rule, Part 2060 Implementation

Illinois Administrative Code, Title 77: Public Health Chapter: Department of Human Services, Subchapter d: Licensure Part 2060, Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Intervention Licenses (commonly referred to as Administrative Rule, Part 2060) was adopted on April 2, 2025. The text of the rule can be found at: Administrative Rules (Title 77, Illinois Administrative Code Rule 2060).

Licensed intervention and treatment organizations are required to adhere to the new rule standards.

The Illinois Department of Human Services/Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (DHS/SUPR) held a webinar "Introducing the New Administrative Rule, Part 2060" on May 22, 2025, to orient providers to the new rule. This webinar serves as a kick-off to the upcoming Administrative Rule, Part 2060 training series.

The webinar slides and recording provide a high-level overview of the following topics:

New Administrative Rule, Part 2060 Webinar Training Series
SUPR will begin holding a webinar training series for licensed organizations to support understanding and implementation of the new Administrative Rule, Part 2060. Each training session will address specific rule sections and content areas, as outlined below. Attending these trainings will provide valuable insights into how the changes impact administrative functions and service delivery, helping organizations ensure compliance and enhance operational effectiveness. Trainings will be recorded and available on-demand as well as live.

Webinars will occur on the third Tuesday of each month from 9:00am-10:30am, unless otherwise specified.

Technical Assistance Sessions

IDHS/SUPR has established monthly Technical Assistance (TA) video calls. These calls provide an ongoing opportunity to ask questions to IDHS/SUPR staff regarding the new Administrative Rule, Part 2060 and the American Society of Addiction Medicine Criteria, 4th Edition.

2025 monthly TA dates:

  • June 6, 2025 * July 11, 2025 * August 1, 2025 * September 5, 2025
  • October 3, 2025 * November 7, 2025 * December 5, 2025

Time: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

To keep the call to the scheduled time limit, IDHS/SUPR requests that questions be submitted to DoIT.SUPRHelp@Illinois.gov a minimum of 8 days prior to each call.
