Customized Employment (CE) and Supported Employment Program (SEP) Information

  1. To participate under CE and SEP, the customer must be certified as needing the additional support.
  2. CE and SEP Certification Criterion
    • Customer has a Most Significant disability and is eligible for VR.
    • Customer has not worked or has only worked intermittently.
    • Customer has a need for ongoing support services in order to perform competitively at work.
    • Customer has the ability to work in a supported employment setting.
  3. Customers participating in CE and SEP need long-term supports to obtain and maintain competitive integrated employment. Types of supports can include many things, some of which are not job coaching.
  4. Customers MUST be certified as Most Significant to participate.
  5. Support on the job is available for up to 24 months as needed by the customer.
  6. Continued Support Option (CSO) is available after the completion of the Phases for both CE and SEP customers. The case must remain open to participate.
