WAG 06-39-05 Summer EBT Screener

PM 06-39-05

Customer: Access the Summer EBT Screener from the Application for Benefits Eligibility (ABE) home screen by clicking on "Check if I should Apply for Summer EBT" revised manual material and then clicking "Start Screener." Enter the following information:

  • Name;
  • Date of Birth (DOB);
  • Social Security Number (SSN);
  • School District; and
  • School Attended immediately prior to current Summer Operational Period (SOP).

For best match results, enter the first name, last name, and date of birth of the child, or enter the social security number and at least one of the following:

  • First Name;
  • Last Name; or
  • Date of Birth.

If the child does not have a social security number or the child receives free or reduced-price lunch at their school during the revised manual material school year immediately prior to the SOP, enter the child's first name, last name, and date of birth along with school and district information.

Requests submitted via the "Contact Us" link on the Screener Results Page to change an address, update contact information, or opt-out of Summer EBT will be automatically processed in the Integrated Eligibility System (IES) as long as the customer confirms their current address and it matches IDHS records in IES.

In the event the request cannot be auto-processed, a task will be created in the Changes/Misc. Queue for the Statewide Program Initiatives Office to process.
