Summer EBT Screener

Revised mnaual textThe Summer EBT Screener is available to customers in the Summer EBT Portal. The screener is accessible via the Application for Benefits Eligibility (ABE) homepage by clicking the "Check if I Should Apply for Summer EBT" button and on the portal homepage by clicking "Start Screener".

new mnaual textThe Summer EBT Screener also automatically queues in the Summer EBT Portal Application flow to prevent customers from applying for children who are already been determined streamlined eligible.

Revised mnaual textThe Summer EBT Screener can be used to determine if:

  • The Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) has all the information needed to automatically enroll their children in Summer EBT; or
  • Additional information is needed to determine eligibility.

Via the "Contact Us" link on the Summer EBT Screener Results Page, customers who are successfully matched to one individual in the screener may also complete a request to:

  • Change their address; or
  • Update contact information; or 
  • Opt Out or voluntarily return Summer EBT benefits; or
  • Request a worker follow up with them regarding their Summer EBT screener results, Summer EBT account, or any other Summer EBT issue.
