TANF
*(LMDD=Last Medical Determination Date)
- If the nonfinancial reason is related to a REDE scheduled more frequently than once a year, Run eligibility, Certify the case and Wrap up. (see WAG 19-02-01).
- If the nonfinancial reason also applies to medical and the Last Medical Determination Date (LMDD) is within 12 months, . Then delete each person age 19 and over. Each person under age 19 remains eligible due to continuous Medicaid eligibility.
Example: Mr. B fails to file for UI benefits. The LMDD is 04/2023. All Kids Assist remains active for the children and Mr. and Mrs. B are deleted for medical assistance.
3. If the nonfinancial reason also applies to medical and the LMDD is more than 12 months, cancel the case.
Example: Ms. C fails to file for UI benefits. The LMDD is 04/2023. Cancel the case.
Family Assist

- If everyone in the case is age 19 or over or the LMDD is more than 12 months, cancel the case.
- If someone in the case is under age 19 and the LMDD is within 12 months, delete every person age 19 and over.
Example: The D family has an active FamilyAssist case. Ms. D reports that her husband has moved home. Form 267L is sent requesting verification of current income. Ms. D fails to respond. The current processing month is 07/2023. If the LMDD is 06/2023 or earlier, cancel the case . If the LMDD is 07/2023 or later, the medical will remain active.
FamilyCare/All Kids Assist

- If everyone in the case is age 19 or over or the LMDD is more than 12 months, cancel the case .
- If someone in the case is under age 19 and the LMDD is within 12 months, delete every person age 19 and over.
Example: Ms. E fails to file for UI. LMDD is 06/2023. The current processing month is 08/2023. The adults are deleted from the medical case due to failure to verify income. The children remain eligible through 06/30/2024.
Moms and Babies
If the pregnant woman no longer lives in Illinois, cancel the case due to moving out of state. Otherwise, make no changes until after the postpartum period (see WAG 06-09-06-c).
