IES determines when a family becomes eligible for Family Assist.
Example 1: An FS REDE application is received for a family of 2. The Family Assist Standard is $412. The family reports earned income of $810. IES determines eligibility as follows:

IES compares countable income to the Family Assist Standard. Since countable income is less than the Family Assist Standard, the family is eligible for Family Assist.
