RATE SUMMARIES
Division of Developmental Disability (DDD) rate summaries are being mailed to all Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) and Intermittent CILA (ICILA) providers this week. Rate summaries provide a listing of all individuals that are being supported by that provider and include information and updates related to the 01/01/2025 rate increases. Specifically rate summaries will enable providers to see the most up-to-date Inventory for Client and Agency Planning (ICAP) and Health Care Level (HCL) scores, the working capacity of the home, and 53R hours (additional hours of billable DSP support) an individual has, the current Direct Support Professional (DSP) wage rate, and the top-line daily and yearly rate as of 01/01/2025. Mailings were sent on Monday 02/10/2025.
AMERICAN HEART MONTH - FEBRUARY 2025
February is American Heart Month! Heart disease is consistently the number one killer of ALL Americans. According to the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in 2022 a reported twenty percent of ALL deaths were caused by heart disease. Women are more likely than men (of all races) to experience cardiovascular complications. Heart attacks effect men and women differently, but research shows that all immediate Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) can double or triple chances of survival after cardiac arrest.
Call to action: This month promotes the education of the common person so that they can live a more fulfilling and healthy life. American heart Association (AHA) encourages everyone that is able to learn CPR, either hands-only or otherwise, an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart is not able to circulate blood.
