The meeting was called to order by Tanya Cooley at 10:32 a.m., who reviewed the OMA procedures, meeting logistics, and agenda.

Roll Call and Motion to approve minutes (Tanya Cooley)

  • No quorum, so unable to approve minutes.

Old Business: Pilot Training Updates (Dr. Terry Solomon)

  • The training requirements were reviewed with Priority Dispatch and APCO pilot sites (MCRT only) on January 14, with a course completion date of Feb 28.
  • As of January 24, 2025, the cumulative number of participants attending each pilot core training is 1,895 people. The number of participants significantly increased between January 8 and January 24, 2025.
  • The cumulative number of participants attending each pilot core training by the provider as of January 24, 2025, does not include the number of participants who have taken Mental Health Topics for 911 and Mental Health Topics for 988. However, this number is included on the previous slide.
  • The Crisis Hub has requested a list of staff at the pilot agencies so we can know the total number of people to be trained for the pilots.
  • We received feedback from some pilot PSAPs about the de-escalation training. We will provide a revised PowerPoint by Jan. 31, 2025, with input from Expert Consultant Jennifer Wooldridge, State CIT Coordinator, Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.
  • No subcommittee members had comments or questions.

New Business: Discussion on Meeting Cadence (Dr. Terry Solomon)

  • In discussing the content for upcoming subcommittee meetings, we recognize that we could explore whether we need to meet twice a month. We hope we can discuss this at the next meeting when we have a quorum.
