PM 18-04-09-a: Changes That Require Proof (During the Approval Period)

Require proof for the following:

  • Earned income changes of $125 or more.
  • Unearned income changes of $125 or more.
  • Reported changes in medical expenses.
  • A change in immigration status.
  • A change in assets, unless the SNAP household is categorically eligible, see PM 05-07-00.
  • A change in child support payments or the support order.
  • Lottery or gambling winnings won in a single game as a cash price of more than $4,500.
  • New Manual TextHousing costs.
  • For Mid-Pointing Reporting households, request proof when gross monthly income for the household exceeds the monthly Gross Income Standard for the household size, see PM 19-07-00.

The below requires proof only when the SNAP Work Requirement Time-Limited Benefits policy is in effect.

  • Work and/or participation hours in an approved activity when an exempt customer becomes non-exempt for the Work Requirement, see WAG 03-25-05.
