  1. Question: I am Superintendent of Schools in Indian Prairie School District, the state's fourth largest school system. Regarding the recently released Homeless NOFO, the document states:
Eligible Applicants are limited to those public and private nonprofit community-based organizations subject to 26 U.S.C. 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) of the tax code (26 U.S.C. 501(c)(3) or 26 U.S.C. 501(c)(4)). Is an Illinois public school district an eligible applicant?
    • Answer: Yes.

April 10, 2025:

  1. Question: The NOFO states the following regarding the email subject line for applications: "Include the following in the subject line: [Applicant Organization Name] HY 444-80-0711." However, I noticed that the GA page for this program (also linked below for reference) provides slightly different instructions: "The completed documents are to be emailed on or before May 7, 2025...with the subject line stating [the] last 4 digits of CSFA #0711-01 [and the] Provider Organization Name." Just to confirm, should applicants refer to the instructions provided in the NOFO or the GA page?
    Answer:
    Both will be accepted.
