  • Welcome & Call to Order - CESSA Region 7 Advisory Membership Committee
    • Dr. Dr. Sharronne Ward (Co-Chair), called the meeting to order at 9:00 am
    • Attendees: Chief Robert Kopec, Chief Marc Maton, Alyssa Marrero, Matthew Fishback, Sarah White, Bonnie Hasan, Kristi DeLaurentiis, , Jeffrey Carey, Chief Mitchell Davis.
    • Absent - Dr. Dave Mikolajczak (Chair), Marianne Bithos, Whitney Bunts, Anthony Marzano, Ryan Dillon, Douglas Jones, Candace Gunby, Jeffrey Carey, Kevin Bernard, Whitney, Bonnie Hasan, Manuel Gonzalez, Dr. Ledois Scott.
  • Open Meetings Act
    • Dr. Ward reviewed the Illinois Open Meetings Act.
  • Approval of the Minutes from the previous meeting
    • No quorum.
  • State Updates -Brenda Hampton and Jessica Atassi - UIC HUB Guest Speaker:
    1. Brenda Hampton - OMA requires 7 additional training courses that are due NLT DEC 2024
      • Appointed members of a public Board, Commission or Task Force (collectively, board) are generally required to participate in six training courses.
        • The Open Meetings Act (OMA)
        • Ethics Training for State Employees and Appointees
        • Harassment and Discrimination Prevention Training
        • Security Awareness Training
        • HIPAA and Privacy Training
        • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training
        • LGBTQIA+ Equity and Inclusion
      • PowerPhone pretest concluded - results pending
      • Pilot Start Date - Mid Jan 2025
      • Dr. Ward to coordinate with Brenda Hampton
      1. Legalities of MCRT co-locations, CIT education, (Petitions), response times via co-locations
      2. State approval
  • RAC 7 Open discussion on current and future programs and opportunities
    • Dr. Ward - Introduced RAC 7 regroup and reassessment plan to capture best practices, ideas, protocol, legislation, number of MCRTs, etc. to meet the rising needs of the community and to assist the first responders.
    • M. Fishback - Inquired into the protocol operations between the MCRTs, PSAPs, 911, 988(Centerstone),
    • A. Marrero - Community unaware of 911 call transfer.
    • Chief M. Davis - Awaits the consolidation of ECOM and SOCOM in Hazel Crest, Il., He says more 911 director involvement is required. In addition, implement an integration matrix prioritizing the Provider support required.
    • Chief M. Maton - A detailed dispatch concept plan between all parties involved should be considered.
    • Chief R. Kopec - Received Sub Federal Grant In house social community-based supports MCRTs, extends services beyond Flossmoor's boundaries. See RAC 7 audio for additional details
    • Dr. Ward - Set meeting with Chief R. Kopec and B. Hampton - obtain onsite testing:
      • Schedule psych visit during peak periods
      • Discuss Dispatch Protocol
      • Ideal Response Time - First Responders
    • Promote Provider service options to the community and support co-location of MCRTs
