Before adding a person, require proof of income and application for an SSN if SOLQ does not verify the SSN. Also require proof of immigration status, if the person is not a U.S. citizen. (Verification of immigration status is not required to add a pregnant woman to an Assist case.) If questionable, request verification of relationship and "living with" a caretaker relative. If proof is provided, allow a deduction from income for day care expenses and/or support payments paid.
