The general purpose of the funding is to provide daily transportation for employed low-income customers to their jobs at large employers in and around Illinois (including neighboring states). Large employer is defined as a person or entity, other than the federal government, state government, or an agency of the federal or state government, that employs 500 or more employees on a full-time basis in Illinois or neighboring states for the public good.
To be eligible to apply, all current grantees must be registered in the Illinois GATA Grantee Portal, meet the Pre-Qualification Process, and complete the FY26 Internal Controls Questionnaire (in the GATA Grantee Portal). See Grant Application Information and Instructions webpage for more detail.
At the time of application, all Bureau grantees must submit for each grant program the following documents:
The completed documents are to be emailed May 13, 2025 by 11:59 pm (CST) to the Bureau email address DHS.ETNOFO@illinois.gov with the subject line stating:
- Last 4 digits of CSFA #0701-01
- Provider Organization Name
For Example: 0701-01 ABC Agency
The Bureau of Employment and Training reserves the right to request additional information from the applicant to assist in FY26 funding and programmatic decisions.
