GA - Community Access and Workforce Readiness Initiative - (26-444-80-2459-01)

Program Description: The general purpose of the funding is for non-profit community based and faith-based organizations in economically disadvantaged, historically marginalized communities to help program participants acquire education, training, and employment related skills to assist in finding and maintaining employment. Community Access and Workforce Readiness Initiative is expected to achieve certifications through education and training that will assist in leading customers to self-sufficiency for individuals and it is expected to achieve self-sufficiency for the public good. 

To be eligible to apply, all current grantees must be registered in the Illinois GATA Grantee Portal, meet the Pre-Qualification Process, and complete the FY26 Internal Control Questionnaire (in the GATA Grantee Portal). See Grant Application Information and Instructions webpage for more detail.

At the time of application, all Bureau grantees must submit for each grant program the following documents:

The completed documents are to be emailed by May 15, 2025 by 11:59 PM to the Bureau email address DHS.ETNOFO@illinois.gov  with the subject line stating:

  • Last 4 digits of CSFA #2459-01
  • Provider Organization Name

For Example: 2459-01 ABC Agency

The Bureau of Employment and Training reserves the right to request additional information from the applicant to assist in FY26 funding and programmatic decisions.
