PM 17-04-03-c: Verification Requested But Not Provided

WAG 17-04-03-c.

When the applicant fails to provide requested verification, the SNAP application is denied as soon as possible, and no later than the 30th day after the application date when the following conditions exist:

  • The applicant was given 10 calendar days to provide requested verification and the request for verification was made in writing. new manual textThis includes when the applicant is given the Notice of SNAP Participation Match in Another State and fails to respond to the notice or fails to provide verifications. See PM 02-07-01, PM 03-02-03-d on National Accuracy Clearinghouse data match with other states to prevent duplicate SNAP assistance.
  • The Family Community Resource Center offered to help the applicant who had problems getting verification, but who was cooperating.
  • During the eligibility interview, the Family Community Resource Center reminded the applicant of the due date for the missing verifications.
  • The failure to provide verification did not result from a 3rd party failure to cooperate.
