PM 17-04-00: Denying Application

WAG 17-04-00.

Deny the application if the applicant:

• does not qualify for the cash, medical, and/or SNAP benefits they requested; or
• decides to withdraw the application; or
• does not cooperate in determining eligibility. This includes being unwilling to provide needed information and refusing to allow DHS to verify information.

Ensure that a written notice of decision is issued for a denied application. Deny the application through the Automated Intake System (AIS) when possible.
