Policy Memo
Summary:
- Beginning 10/18/2024, the Victims of Trafficking, Torture, or Other Serious Crimes (VTTC) programs for VTTC Cash and State Food are paused due to the exhaustion of available funding in the current fiscal year.
- Applications pending as of 10/18/2024 under the VTTC Cash and State Food Programs will be denied due to lack of funding.
- VTTC Cash and State Food EDGs approved prior to 10/18/2024 will be funded 12 months from the application date, if all other eligibility factors continue to be met.
- Medical Programs are not affected by this funding pause.
Beginning 10/18/2024, the Victims of Trafficking, Torture, or Other Serious Crimes (VTTC) programs for VTTC Cash (TANF), VTTC Cash (RRP) and VTTC State Food are paused due to the exhaustion of available funding in the current State fiscal year.
Households who are not currently receiving VTTC Cash and State Food benefits, are ineligible for federally funded programs due to citizenship status, but meet eligibility factors for VTTC Cash and State Food will be denied due to funding beginning 10/18/2024.
The IL444-0360C - Notice of Decision will be sent with the denial reason, VTTC funds exhausted for current fiscal year.
VTTC Cash and State Food EDGs that were approved prior to 10/18/2024 will continue to receive benefits for 12 months from the date of application, as long as all eligibility factors continue to be met.
VTTC Medical Programs are not affected by this funding pause.
